Community For Peace Advocate Training
You are invited to share the opportunity for on-going community education and in depth training. This is a wonderful opportunity to understand this issue that so greatly impacts our culture and to learn how a trauma informed community response enables and empowers us all to respond to this epidemic with greater effectiveness. The next 52 hour new Advocate training for those interested in volunteering with A Community For Peace, for our Community Partners, and for those wanting to understand more about the issue of domestic violence, begins July 21, 2016 and ends August 20, 2016.

Thursday, August 4 – 5:30pm – 9pm
Friday, August 5 – 5:30pm – 9pm
Saturday, August 6 – 9am – 5pm
Thursday, August 18 – 5:30pm – 9pm
Friday, August 19 – 5:30pm – 9pm
Saturday, August 20 – 9am – 5pm
All interested parties must complete a volunteer application. Application may be downloaded at A Community For Peace website. Interested parties may also visit our office and complete an application in-person.

Community Partners must complete an application. Please write-in at top of application COMMUNITY PARTNER to indicate interest and status.
A Community Partner is an Agency with whom ACFP has an MOU or OA to qualify for Community Partnership fee waiver, however, we will gratefully accept your donations to cover materials and food.
CEUs for this training may be available. Requests for CEUs must be received prior to the start of the training.
All applicants who MAY desire to offer volunteer hours will be interviewed, regardless of experience. If your intention is to volunteer, you must attend and complete the entire training.
Training Cost: $80 (Limited Scholarships are available.)
